Taiwan Semiconductor was founded in 1979 and is a global supplier of Power Discrete Devices and Barcode Printers. Their Head office is in Taiwan, with three manufacturing plants located in Taiwan and China. The company employs 2000 people and will turnover almost $100M in 2005.

Taiwan Semi produce a comprehensive range of standard, fast, high efficiency and schottky rectifiers. They use glass passivated technology, and have a rapidly expanding range of surface mount devices. Further products include Transient Voltage Suppression devices, MOSFET's, transistors, standard linear IC's, voltage regulators and specialist linear devices. They have a range of Bridge rectifiers which are available in most industry standard packages with current ratings up to 50 Amps.

Globally some 40% of their product goes into PC and associated applications, with Automotive 15%, Consumer 21% and Telecommunications 13%. The three manufacturing plants have a monthly production capacity on diodes of 240M and bridge rectifiers of 29M.

Taiwan Semiconductor manufactures to the highest standards and has approvals to QS9000, ISO9002, and ISO-14001. The product meets all current environmental legislation including the standards of the European Directive on RoHS with material content declarations available for all package types.
