Easby appointed as Korchip distributor

We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed authorized distributor for Korchip the leading Korean Electric Double Layer Capacitor (EDLC) manufacturer. We offer a wide range in coin, can and moulded formats using the ‘Starcap’ branding. We can also offer both SMD and radial leaded EDLC capacitors.

Korchip are a major energy storage innovator having previously acquired the EDLC businesses of both Murata and Samsung and can offer capacitance values from 0.1 Farad through to 100,000 Farad.

Applications for this product include RTC (Real Time Clock), Electronic Tax Collectors, Water Heaters, Gas and Water Meters, Relay or Solenoid Starter, Motor Starters, Solar and Wind Turbine Storage and Electric Vehicles.

With manufacturing in China and South Korea the Korchip ‘Starcap’ system offers semi-permanent life with charge and discharge cycles in excess of 1 million times possible, higher capacitance than conventional electrolytic capacitors and higher power than secondary batteries.
